The Carnival that never was. Romsey Carnival Queen and attendants 1939. Olive Pound of 10, Duttons Road,

Muriel Sheppard of 108, The Hundred, Margaret Taylor of 6, Bridge Road, Joan Eldridge of 27, Malmesbury Road

 and Laura Dawkins of 22, Lansdowne Close. Chosen in August 1939 only a fortnight before

the Second World War the carnival was cancelled (Thanks to Chas Burnett for photo and info)
